FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2013 DAY 2 – PRISCILLA AHN

Continuing our highlights from Day 2 of FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2013

Demure folk artist from LA PRISCILLA AHN played the Red Marquee, dishing out delightful indie-acoustic melodies to an adoring audience. Ahn has achieved huge success after signing to Blue Note Records in 2008, due largely to the popularity of her track “Dream,” the single featured on her debut album “A Good Day” and, as a result, many of her songs have featured on television shows (such as “Grey’s Anatomy”) and films, plus she’s been touring extensively.

On Saturday, she was accompanied by touring bandmates on cello, keys and a drummer, performing a set that was very humble and understated. Adorned in an angelic white dress, Ahn wooed the audience to the point they didn’t seem to mind the multiple times she forgot lyrics or messed up a song (she attributed it to nerves) and at times she was positively gushing about how happy they were to be playing in Japan.

After Fuji Rock, Ahn has played shows in South Korea and Taiwan and has since returned to the US.
