Leeds’ BATTLE LINES are gathering steam having returned from a spin at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and having recently released their 7″ Colonies.
Crashing the stage at Mello Mello as part of LIVERPOOL SOUND CITY 2014, the four-piece exit the stage to fans and supporters (including Alice Scott, bass player for another Leeds band POST WAR GLAMOUR GIRLS) congratulating them on their set.
We caught up with Battle Lines lead singer Carly Humphries a few days later at LIVE AT LEEDS. At the Uni Stylus venue where were were about to see Leeds’ THE WITCH HUNT, we took some time out to take these portraits.
Leeds is certainly buzzing with some brilliant up-and-coming bands… and Battle Lines is a band we’re watching closely. We witnessed their tight performance, stunning vocals and sounds at The Star & Garter in Manchester a few weeks back. Significantly, they’re performing live at the ECLECTICA PROJECT LAUNCH on 3 August at Kraak Manchester.
